In the ServusTV documentary “Anders als Ander”, two very different individuals offer an intimate insight into their life journeys, struggles, and the unique joy of embracing individuality. The documentary explores the power of being different, showcasing people who defy norms and refuse to be held back.
The opener sequence was initially envisioned with a bold motion design concept, brought to life through a series of metaphorical scenes. These visuals illustrated how these pioneers stand out, swim against the current, and push boundaries to reach new horizons.
While this concept was presented to the client, they ultimately decided to take a different direction, opting for live-action footage instead of the graphic scenery. Despite this, the designer remained passionate about this vision and wanted to showcase the power of “being different” through this unique art style in a personal project. The concept celebrates those who challenge the status quo, highlighting their resilience and creativity, and ultimately glorifying the beauty of being unapologetically unique.
