The documentary series “Ich, Bauer” (I, Farmer) portrays various Austrian farmers and tells their life’s journey. In addition to their multifaceted experiences in the past, the series also illuminates the current conditions in which farmers have to compromise in order to survive economically and to pursue their known way of life.

The different scenarios of the documentation were brought into a coherent overall picture by collage-like arrangement. Light & rhythem provide inspiration for imagery and motion design, which tries to catch this special atmosphere in between optimism and melancholy, which a modern life on a farm may involve by necessity
